EUCI Advocacy

EUCI is at the forefront of fostering innovation within the blockchain sphere, collaborating closely with policymakers, esteemed academics, and our esteemed member companies. Our primary mission revolves around the development of a robust regulatory framework for Europe, one that not only supports but actively promotes blockchain-based innovation.

Our current areas of focus encompass a diverse range of pivotal subjects, each playing a crucial role in shaping the future of blockchain technology and its applications. We are engaged in tracking and influencing significant developments such as the proposed EU Regulation on Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA), the creation of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) like the digital Euro, the forthcoming anti-money laundering review (AML VI), digital asset taxation, the EU Data Strategy, and the imminent EU legislative proposal on artificial intelligence (AI). We are also actively participating in discussions surrounding emerging topics like Decentralised Finance (DeFi), Decentralised Autonomous Organisations (DAOs) and Regenerative Finances (ReFi).
